Benching, bench pressing, powerlifting, what ever you want to call it is a sport that many have taken up. It is the type of sport that gives the performer killer abs, biceps and strength; It is the kind of sport that takes a man from being ordinary to being the bedroom wall paper of some girl in a another continent from the one the man is. it is the dream of many to have the type of strength and abs found especially in people like the rock and Ryan Kennelly. However, the sports takes resilience, courage, knowing that you might get hurt and not caring much about that and a great diet to support the massive work out. The result? A gigantic muscle man whose name everyone will know because of the internet.
After Justin Forsett (The Raven) posted that video of himself lifting 115 lb this year, it got most people wondering, who are the best weight lifters in the world? How much weight have they lifted and what do they look like?
This is a name you should already be familiar with if you love men with well built bodies. Born in march 1874, Ryan Shawn Kennelly is the current holder of the world powerlifting record. He holds the world powerlifting organization and is the all- time world champion of the geared bench press lifting a total weight of 107lbs in November 2008 up until April of 2013. This lift was done using the assistance of a bench shirt. He has also done very many bench lifts without the bench shirt and lifted 650lbs in a competition. He got his powerlifting background from his father who was a very competitive power lifter although he only began weight lifting at the age of 18 and was no really serious about it until 5 years later. He is 6 feet 2 inches, which makes him the tallest bench press specialist in active competition. A true inspiration to many potential power lifters.
This is yet another name you should really know. He has been able to lift up to 665 lbs without the assistance of a bench shirt which could be more if he used a bench shirt in his lifting. He began benching at a weight of 385. This is very impressive considering he was only 19 at the time. He is a very determined lifter who aims to get to the very top breaking one record after another. His diet is yet another thing that will shock you as a fan. In iron man it says he eats about a dozen eggs which cheese and some steak on the side. Like it was mentioned before, diet is everything.
This is one man who could be undermined for being short. However, while he is short and many may have never thought he would make it into any bench lifting competition, he did. His determination courage have made him to go very far in this career path he has chosen for himself. Consuming two steaks daily, he has come very close to being the second man who has lifted the 800lb. He now currently stands at 775 lbs and going. He will stop at nothing until he breaks that coveted record. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 398 lbs. he has every advantage a short man in the powerlifting industry could have and he has been named the healthiest 398 pounder in the world.
He could easily be named the best built bench lifter. He also shows resilience and determination in getting to be a record weight lifter. He has been able to lift 722 lbs while he himself weighs only 308 pounds. After breaking this one he dropped his weight down to 242 pounds and was still able to lift an impressive 655lbs. this is an impressive record for anyone who is looking to join powerlifting. He is also amongst the encouragements for people looking to join the profession.
This is yet another monster in the powerlifting sport who cannot be talked about enough. She is a source of inspiration for many looking to join the sport and those already in. The reason? At a weight of 202 pounds, George was able to lift an impressive 733lb. he shows great potential to reach the 800 mark too.
